Timelimitations for I-net (same as for computer use) I have enabled [Limit functions] on my kids accounts on the new computer with Vista.
[Control panel] -> [User Acounts and famely safety] -> [Limit functions]
(Dont got English version so I dont know exactely what the names are but I’ll try som direct translation and will hope that you know what I’m talking about)
Feel free to correct me so that I will be using the correct terms and names..
I have turned on something called [Web limitations] with customised pages, so that we have to accept the web sites they access.
We tested it and it looked like it worked fine.
If we went to a site we had not added to the accept-list she diddent get to access the page.
On that page however it said something like:
If You want access to this erea You need premission. Ask a administrator for premission
Here one have to type inn the admin password and then continiue the prosess (This can take ages as some webpages redirect to god knows how many different url’s I tryed with hotmail.no and had to add like 5 different sites to the list I think… Not the smartest thing with other words..)
But it is this that triggers my question for a usefull feature and I was was woundering if anyone knew if I could set it up so that insted of Admin being needed to login, they could ask for premission for that page.
And this request would be sendt to the Admin account, sort of as a e-mail prinsipe, when Admin logs on Admin can then review the requests for new web pages and take the desission wheter or not he wants to acces the dir\fferent accounts access to the web pages they have asked premission for.
Did this make any sence at all? :(

Hey guys, just got my new PC with Vista…so far it’s nto too bad, with the exception of one thing.
My buttons (for minimised programs) all appear pushed all the way over to the right, and are really small (about 1/2 inch wide), and it will only display 2 of them before I have to use the little up and down arrows to scroll through them…All the screen shots I’ve seen show "normal" (read: XP) sized buttons over to the left…
Any help?

When I right click on the desktop and click personalize, the personalize window pops up for a millisecond and goes away. This started happening after I uninstalled a program. I have also noticed the the personalize icon in the welcome window is now a plain folder. Looks like something - a .dll or whatnot - got corrupted or accidentally deleted, but I don’t know what. If I knew what it was, I would be able to copy the offending file from another install. Anybody able to help me on this one?
I have a question about home theater setups.What do y’all have and would you suggest any brands to check out.
My current setup isn’t really a home theater as it is a stereo setup with a sub that i use to play music on really loud and just happens to be hooked up to a DVD player. I have a Onkyo reciever (the 5.1 one that i dont have the model number for right now) with 2 Kenwood floor standing speakers that a overpaid for on base (1″ tweeter, 3″ mid driver, dual 6″ woofers) and a yamaha dual
10″ power subwoofer. I’m looking to piece this upgrade together as even decent surrounds tend to cost a couple hundred dollar a piece/set depending on what you look at. I plan on starting this upgrade around Feb/Mar as I change bases again in Jan and will prolly have some out of pocket expenses for a apartment and such until my allowances for my apartment kick in.
oh and also, do you audiophiles have any grips about a mixmatching brands on a home theater?

This is a serious problem. This feature exists in Vista and I set it up directly through the OSs features without installing any 3rd party software. The only problem is that I forgot how I set it up.
How do I cease this insanity. It’s driving me nuts. I’m about to perform a clean install just to end this madness.

For a special project in VISUAL STUDIO 2005 I would like to be able to start the VISTA SLIDESHOW with pictures from a special folder. Does anybody know any command lines for the VISTA SLIDESHOW?
The Warden is really into music, Korean music, she has at least 2000 files or songs on her Hard drive (Did I pay for all that ? Ouch!) anyway she is a member of a website that allows her a page to be a “CJ” of sorts (That is a Computer Disk Jockey) and she has fun playing her music so others can listen. She uses WinAmp to play the music.Her main computer is a EPoX 939 NF4 Ultra (9NPA+ Ultra) board, Opteron 148, 2X 512 PC3200 Ballistix (2-2-2-6), DVD Burner, Floppy, a 250 and a 320 Gig hard drive. I gave her my X-Fi Platinum and she has the latest X-Fi drivers for Win XP Home
People have told her (Via text messages) that her sound card sounds great. Super…. I think, but it caused me to wonder, as I don’t really have a clue, does her sound card really make a difference in sending music via Winamp and the net?
If it does I will certainly be hammered soon for 2 of her computers have “on board” and the remaining one a Audigy Value. She will want to upgrade.
Maybe for music creative would not be the best situation. (I presume Creative and Microsoft got the NF4 and X-Fi crackling fixed as we don’t seem to have a problem that I have heard about)
I could buy her two new Sound cards for her 754 and 939 on board sound machines, or I have a SB Live card and a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz in the parts bin. Maybe if the machines sound makes a difference, I should put those cards or something else in her other machines?
Kind of a crazy post, but if you can make sense of part or all of it and have a opinion let me know.

hey guys new here i am having a problem with my windows calendar when i make a entry and would like to invite others to a meeting i enter the people that must be invited and click invite. then it pops up with another window and say this message jas not been sent and there is no send button. so how do i send it?
