I’m wondering what I need to do to hook up a cassette player to my front panel of the sound card.
Do I hook it up directly or do I need an Amp first?

I went online looking for good quality soundcards that worked with Vista. Ended up getting the Razer Barracuda which works fine with their Beta Vista driver. Love the sound. Better than the Audigy. But… the software only allows very limited recording sources like Mic and Line In only…something like that.
Is there any way to set the recording source so I can pick up the Internet using this card? I love it and hate to lose it but it’s really a gaming card and not for audiophiles. (Not that I’m an audiophile, really.)
Someone on the Creative forum said they were having luck with the older Soundblaster 5:1 SB0100 card. Looked like "What U Hear" was functional, but I asked him to test Internet recording for me and he hasn’t gotten back to me yet.
Any ideas? This is driving me nuts! If I can’t record with something now, I can wait for MS to come up with their final sound release and then wait for Creative to come up with new drivers/software. But I might be dead by then.
Thanks!

I’ve had my Dell clipon speaker for a year now and I’m wanting to upgrade to a 2 speaker system. quality is as important as the style of the speakers to me.
Any recommendations for speakers?

So I have two devices listed, the new card and my onboard one. What went wrong?
Also, they shipped my a rubber band with my card… what is that for? (I bought it off Newegg)

With only one input I would have to change cable from TV to XBox all the time.
I hooked the XBox up with HDMI to my TV but I cannot choose that source in my TV Menu to use as Optcal sound out. I can choose TV,DVD.Aux,etc.,but no HDMI.
Any Ideas on a splitter or switch for Audio Fiber cables?
Thanks,
Butch

Optical Input: Xbox360
Coaxal Input: PC
6Ch Direct Input: PC
on both the 6Ch Direct and Coaxal inpits, if its silent and i turn the volume up, i get noise through the speakers (just a hissing sound, everyone has heard it) but it doesnt happen with Optical. I just figured that was because optical uses light and therefore didnt pickup noise simply because it isnt using a metal conductor. But now i am curious because shouldnt the noise be almost non-existant even with the other inputs?
I guess what im really asking is, is there a way to reduce this noise or possibly get rid of it?
